The next event for the Joplin Chess club will be coming up at the end of October in Springfield.

Thankfully, Tuesday Knight Chess and Children's Chess Club are still happening! Teens ages in grades 6-12 are invited to play a game or two this Tuesday, May 7 at 6 PM and kids ages 6-12 are invited to come play this Thursday, May 9 at 5:30 PM.
Round 4 of the Missouri State University Open is underway. Augustus Ramirez leads the event with a perfect 3.0 score, facing Ethan Stech closely behind with an undefeated 2.5.![]()

In the Reserve group, Mitchell Castillo leads at 1.5 with a couple of players on his heels at 1.0 each.
2024 Missouri State University Open underway. A lower turnout than hoped for, with 16 players, so sections are combined for pairing purposes.
