Entry fee $5 per player, preregistered by Thursday December 11th. $10 at Tournament
Registration 8-9 A.M.
Awards around 4:30 P.M.
Prizes: Trophies for 1st-3rd place teams. Medals for individuals. Provisional medals for 1st-5th first time players

On site concessions with hot dogs, chips, candy and drinks as well as Pizza Hut pizza.

Lamar Schools Chess Tournament October 11, 2008

LOCATION: Lamar Middle School 202 West 7th St. Lamar, MO

Pre-registration is from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m.
Round 1 begins at 9:30 a.m.

$5 if entry is e-mailed in by 3:00 Friday, October 10th. $10 the day of the tournament. Email entries to: brsmith@lamar.k12.mo.us

2 divisions K-8 and K-12 (Not USCF rated) with medals for the top 20th to 4th and individual trophies to the top 3 in each division. Special awards to the top 10 K-3 players.

6 rounds Swiss Style with 30 minute controls.

Team Trophies for the top 3 teams in each division.

Please bring clocks and sets.

GRADE DIVISIONS: K-6, 7-8 and 9-12
TIMES:

Check in / on-site registration from 9:00 – 10:00 A.M.
Mandatory players’ meeting at 10:20 A.M.
All Divisions: First round begins at 10:00 A.M.
Round 1 starts at 10:30 AM
Round 2 starts at 12:15 PM
Round 3 starts at 2:00 PM
Round 4 starts at 3:45 PM
Awards Ceremony at 5:00 PM

K-12 OPEN (USCF RATED)
The tournament will be run on the Swiss System. Four Rounds, G/45.
Entry fee is $10 if submitted by October 9, 2008. $15 after October 9th. On site registration is available the morning of the tournament from 9-10 AM

A “Skittles” room will be available for all players and parents. Only players and tournament officials will be allowed in the playing area while play is in progress.
