There is another chess club starting up in town, not affiliated with the Joplin Chess Club USCF affiliate. From what I understand it is also going to be another USCF affiliate for the Joplin area. Once I know the affiliate ID I will update with that information.

Meeting Location: Hardee’s, 1641 W 7th St, Joplin
Time: 6:30 pm, Tuesday nights 2:00 pm, Sunday afternoons

Club primarily consists of casual play among attendants. Game presentations are occasionally given.  Club also hosts USCF rated tournaments/events which will be posted in the tournaments section as soon as details are known.

In addition to the Joplin Chess Club affiliate, a group of players get together at Hardee’s on Sunday afternoons. I haven’t had a chance to join the group for any games yet but if you have some time stop by and play.
