Springfield National Chess Day Open
Here is the next tourney of the year. This one is being co-hosted by the Joplin Chess Club and Springfield Park Board Chess Club. Hope you can make it.

Format: 4 round Swiss, Game in 60, delay 5 (G/60,d/5), dual-rated
Two sections, Open and U1400; Sections may be combined for pairing purposes.
One 1/2 point bye available if requested before the beginning of round 2
Round Times: 9:00, 11:15, 2:00, 4:15
Entry fee: $20 if registered by 10/11 , $30 on-site. Scholastic (K-12) $10 if registered by 10/11, $15 on-site (no cash prize)
Prizes: Based on 25 non-scholastic entries (b/25)
- Open: $120, 80, 60; U1600 $60
- U1400: $60, 40
- Scholastic: Trophy for 1st place
Registration: Advance Registration requested. Entry fees may be paid in cash in person on 10/12/2013, or checks (payable to Martin Stahl) can be mailed, to be received by 10/11/2013. Preference that all players must be current USCF members by 10/11/2013 and current through 10/12/2013. USCF membership can be processed online at uschess.org and membership can be accepted on site for CASH ONLY. Please check the USCF site for rates or contact TD for details for membership renewal or purchase on site.
