[ February 12, 2011; 5:00 am; ] On February 12th, the Joplin Chess Club held its 1st tournament of the year. Luckily the weather cooperated, mostly, with warmer temperatures melting most of the snow and ice on the roads.

[ February 12, 2011; 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. ] Here is our first tournament of the year and we’re hoping for a good turnout. We are extremely pleased to announce that IM Goran Vojinovic (pictured below) is scheduled to play. So come out and join us for a great day of chess.
